FAITH

“Some men came carrying a paralyzed man on a sleeping mat. They tried to take him…to Jesus but THEY COULDN'T REACH HIM because of the crowd. So THEY WENT UP TO THE ROOF, took off some tiles (and) lowered the sick man on his mat down into the crowd, right in front of Jesus.” Luke 5:18-19 NLT

Faith sees opportunities when everyone else sees obstacles. If you can’t get to Jesus the conventional way, try something different. He’s there. Quit trying the front door; tear the roof off!

“But we can’t…it’s too hard…we’ve never done it that way before…what will people think?” Those words are faith-killers. The paralyzed man’s friends refused to take ‘no’ for an answer; not when the Healer was in the House. Instead of getting down about their circumstances, they climbed up. And because of their faith we get to read…

“Jesus said to the paralyzed man, ‘Get up, take your mat and go home.’ Immediately he stood up…took what he had been lying on and went home praising God. Everyone was amazed…and said, ‘We have seen remarkable things today.’” Luke 5:24-26 NIV

Quit looking at the obstacles. Just get to Jesus. And you will see “remarkable things today.”
